Senior Capstone Project for DAAPworks 2026Reclaiming Queen City started as an idea to combat misinformation about drag amidst a harsh political climate, and shift the narrative to celebrate how drag artists carry our culture in cities across the world.

While researching archival, Queer zines, an opportunity opened to bridge Cincinnati's past and present queer history in a format that would appeal to Gen-Z youth interested in social justice. With punk illustration and storytelling, this project frames local drag scenes as community anchors that unify diverse experiences.
